Fatal Marin Freeway Crash Snarls Traffic: CHP

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A motorcyclist was killed in a solo crash on Highway 101 Thursday morning, the California Highway Patrol said.

Authorities are on the scene investigating the crash reported before 7 a.m. on northbound Highway 101, south of the Robin Williams Tunnel, CHP officer Darrel Horner told Patch.

Three lanes of traffic were closed shortly afterward and remained closed as of 9 a.m. with no estimate for their reopening, Horner said.

The crash has backed up traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge all the way to San Francisco, according to Google maps.
