Fatal San Rafael Crash Triggers SigAlert

The right two lanes were open to traffic as of 5:07 a.m., according to the CHP.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle early Wednesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers at around 3:45 a.m. responded to a report from the driver of a vehicle that had struck a pedestrian on southbound U.S. Highway 101 just north of the San Pedro Road off-ramp.

The CHP issued a SigAlert at 3:56 a.m., closing the left three southbound lanes of the highway and contacted the coroner.
