President Theriault has had a distinguished career in the building trades as both an ironworker and business representative. He served as Secretary-Treasurer of the San Francisco Building and Construction Trades Council for 13 years where he negotiated and helped administer many successful project labor agreements, helped reestablish shop classes at the San Francisco Unified School District, and navigated the Council through financial uncertainty, among many other accomplishments. President Theriault joined Ironworkers Local 377 in 1985 and served as a job steward, foreman, and general foreman before becoming a union organizer and business representative. He was born and raised in San Francisco and has held leadership roles at public and community service organizations including the San Francisco Building Inspection Commission, the Workforce Investment Board of San Francisco, the Citizens Bond Oversight Committee for the San Francisco Unified School District, Young Community Developers, the San Francisco Labor Council, and the California State Building and Construction Trades Council. He is a member of the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and rides with the San Francisco Randonneurs.
