Gun Found On Teens, Car Connected To Recent Robbery Seized In Marin County: Police
Police said they are trying to determine if the teens arrested are suspects in a recent robbery.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — Officers found a real handgun and a C02-propelled pellet replica handgun under the driver's seat of a car Tuesday in San Rafael, resulting in the arrest of two teens, police said.
San Rafael Police Department officers said they stopped a car that "is of interest in outstanding violent crimes," including a recent street robbery in San Rafael.

Police said they arrested two of the three people detained during the traffic stop and that both were juveniles. They were booked into juvenile hall in connection with the discovered handguns, violation of probation and driving without a license.

Police said detectives have connected the car to the robbery and are working to determine of the detained people riding in the car are suspects in that case.
"SRPD has taken proactive steps to address the recent increase in violent criminal activity in San Rafael’s Downtown and Canal Neighborhoods. We are also emphasizing the importance of partnering with our community members to look out for one another, and we are encouraging the public to report suspicious and criminal activity," police said.
