'Hoop For Change' Free-Throw Fundraiser Is Sunday In San Rafael
Sunday's "shoot-a-thon" will raise money for local nonprofits, while giving students a chance to shoot some hoops and win prizes.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — A basketball-centered fundraiser will take over Davidson Middle School on Sunday, inviting participants to shoot a few hoops for a good cause.
The Hoop For Change Free-Throw Shoot-A-Thon will benefit 10,000 Degrees and the NBBA Foundation, two local organizations that work with students and families in need.
The fundraiser will include students grades 3 to 12, along with adults, with various events scheduled throughout the day by age group. Participants will get to collect pledges based on the number of free throws they nail and can win prizes that include a PlayStation 5 and signed Warriors jerseys and basketballs.

The Shoot-A-Thon is open to the public but a minimum $100 pledge is required. The fundraiser also receives support from the Warriors Community Foundation, Marin Regenerative Health and Poppy Bank.
