Marin Cops Arrest 2 On Weapons Charges

Traffic stops led to both arrests, authorities said.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Two Marin suspects were arrested on gun charges in separate incidents last week, authorities said.

Traffic stops led to both arrests, which occurred in the early morning hours Friday and Oct. 15, the Marin County Sheriff’s Office said.

During a traffic stop at around 1:30 a.m. Friday, a deputy arrested a passenger in the vehicle on suspicion of weapons and drug charges after they were found in possession of an unserialized ghost gun, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The suspect was booked into county jail.

A little after midnight Oct. 15, a motorist was arrested on suspicion of possessing a concealed firearm and ammunition, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The suspect was arrested on the misdemeanor violation and released at the scene, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The gun and ammunition were taken as evidence, the Sheriff’s Office said.
