Marin Crash Triggers Gas Station Fire
The blaze was extinguished by the gas station's automated fire suppression system.
MARIN COUNTY, CA — A vehicle crashed into a Marin gas station Tuesday night causing a small fire, authorities said.
The crash occurred at around 8:30 p.m. near the Madera offramp on Highway 101, California Highway Patrol Officer Darrel Horner told Patch.

A pickup truck was traveling southbound on the freeway when for reasons not yet known it left the freeway and crashed into the Chevron station at 90 Madera Blvd., colliding with a pump that started the small fire, Horner said.
The driver suffered minor injuries but declined transport to a hospital, the Central Marin Fire Department said on its Facebook page.

The gas station’s fire suppression system extinguished the blaze, the CMFD said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, but drugs and alcohol have been ruled out, Horner said.
