Marin Man Gets 5 Years For Child Porn Scam: Report

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A Marin man was sentenced to five years in federal prison on child pornography charges, The Marin Independent Journal reports.

Nicholas Cory Richars, 35 of Sausalito, in December pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography, the report said.

Richars has until Jan. 10 to report to the Bureau of Prisons, the report said.

Prosecutors alleged Richars engaged in a scheme to elicit explicit images and videos from teen girls in a case that involved seven victims, the report said.
