Marin Nonprofit Lauded For Transparency

NOVATO, CA — A Marin nonprofit that provides care to underserved communities has been lauded for its transparency.

North Marin Community Services was honored by a group that evaluates nonprofit groups.

It was named a 2022 Platinum Seal of Transparency by Guidestar, a group that evaluates nonprofits.

NMCS formed through a January 2018 merger between the Novato Youth Center and Novato Human Needs Center, two organizations that sprouted from grassroots, community efforts.

The group serves over 11,000 people in need each year with a staff of 63 and 315 volunteers.
