Marin Opens Temporary Shelters For Those Affected By Power Outage

The temporary shelters are offering residents a place to warm up and charge their phones.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Marin County has opened three locations for residents affected by Thursday power outage.

The temporary shelters are offering residents a place to warm up and charge their phones.

As of 10 a.m. Thursday, about 14,000 PG&E customers in the North Bay were without power, according to utility spokesperson Megan McFarland.

‘If your power is out and seeking refuge, please visit one of the following temporary shelters,” Southern Marin Fire tweeted.

  • Marin Health & Wellness (3240 Kerner Blvd, San Rafael) open until 3 p.m. Thursday
  • Sausalito Library (420 Litho Street) is open until 7 p.m. Thursday
  • Mill Valley Community Center (180 Camino Alto) open until 5 p.m. Thursday (no pets allowed).
