​Marin Readies For More Rain

The second of two storms is expected to arrive later this week.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — April showers have arrived in Marin, and more is expected later this week.

The first of two storms forecast for this week unloaded more than an inch of rain in the Marin Peninsula (south of Mount Tamalpais) during Monday morning's commute, according to the National Weather Service.

Much of the Bay Area saw just a tenth of an inch or less rain, but coastal ranges collected between a half and a quarter inch of the wet stuff, the NWS said.

The bulk of the second storm is most likely to land in Marin Thursday, when the NWS estimates a 70 percent probability rain will fall.

Marin could see some rain late Tuesday night. The NWS estimating a 20 percent probability that rain could start falling in Marin after 11 p.m.
