Mill Valley To Hold Earthquake Safety Forum

The virtual event aims to help people prepare for a major quake.

MILL VALLEY, CA — A Marin community group will hold a virtual event this week that aims to ready the public for a major earthquake.

The event, which is scheduled to be held on Zoom Thursday at 7 p.m., will feature experts discussing several aspects of earthquake preparedness including what to expect from public safety officials, how to prepare for and what to do after a major quake, and information about earthquake insurance.

It may be years before a major earthquake impacts us, or it can happen next year, next month or next week. Our degree of preparation will have a direct impact on our outcomes.
