Officers Use Taser On Marin County Man Resisting Arrest: Police

Officers tried to arrest a man with an outstanding warrant but had to use a taser to subdue him, police said.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — Officers deployed a taser on a man Monday in San Rafael that they said refused to cooperate and a group of people with the man began to become confrontational with police.

Just before 2:30 p.m. on Monday, San Rafael Police Department officers on a bike patrol said they contacted Kassius Kalyia James Bilbotate as he spoke with several other people on the 700 block of B Street in Downtown San Rafael.

Officers said they determined Bilbotate had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in court regarding a case involving shoplifting, giving false information to an officer and possessing suspected drugs.
