San Rafael Names Catherine Quffa To New Administrative Role
City officials on Tuesday named Catherine Quffa as its new Library and Recreation Director.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — The city of San Rafael earlier this week announced the hiring of a new administrator.
City officials on Tuesday named Catherine Quffa as its new Library and Recreation Director.
Quffa’s hiring culminated a nationwide search, city officials said.

Quffa brings nearly 15 years of experience working in both the non-profit sector and local government.
She currently serves as the city’s Assistant Library and Recreation Director. She will begin her new position following the retirement of Susan Andrade-Wax sometime next spring, city officials said.

“Catherine has led by example and shown tremendous leadership during her time in San Rafael,” City Manager Jim Schutz said in a statement.
“We are thrilled that she will continue to share her passion for finding ways to make her hometown a vibrant, inclusive, and community-oriented place to live.”
