San Rafael Nonprofit Leader Honored

SAN RAFAEL, CA — The head of a San Rafael nonprofit has been honored for his leadership.

Canal Alliance CEO Omar Carrera received the honor at the 2022 Heart of Marin Awards, which was hosted by the Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership.

“We are delighted to share that CEO, Omar Carrera has been awarded the Excellence in Leadership Award at the 2022 Heart of Marin Awards, hosted by CVNL Center for Volunteer & Nonprofit Leadership,” the Canal Alliance wrote on its Facebook page.

“The Excellence in Leadership Award, which comes with a $5,000 cash award for the recipient’s nonprofit, is presented to an executive director who has demonstrated excellence in leadership and whose vision has inspired meaningful and lasting change benefiting the organization and community.”
