San Rafael Readies For Weekend Freeway Closure

The closure will allow crews to continue work on the $14.7 million Central San Rafael Harbor Bridge Replacement Project.

SAN RAFAEL, CA –A major San Rafael freeway offramp will be closed for part of this weekend as Caltrans crews continue an ongoing construction project.

The Highway 101 Northbound Central San Rafael off-ramp will be closed overnight starting Friday at 11 p.m., Caltrans said. Just one lane will be open starting Friday at 9 p.m.

The off-ramp is scheduled to reopen Saturday at 7 a.m.

The closure will allow crews to work on the Central San Rafael Harbor Bridge Replacement. The project will cost an estimated $14.7 million, Caltrans said.

Motorists are advised to plan routes accordingly, city officials said.
