San Rafael Suspicious Activity Report Leads To 2 Arrests

The suspected prowlers were seen looking under vehicles with a flashlight in a San Rafael parking lot, police said.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A witness report of suspected prowlers in Marin led the arrests of two suspects and the recovery of a firearm, burglary tools and other contraband items, San Rafael police said.

The suspects were arrested on unspecified charges.

The suspected prowlers were seen looking under vehicles with a flashlight in a parking lot near the 400 block of First Street, according to police.

The witness provided the suspect vehicle’s license plate number, which helped police locate the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop.

“A search of the vehicle yielded an unloaded revolver, drug paraphernalia, and a reciprocating saw with blades commonly used for cutting catalytic converters. The two occupants were arrested on multiple charges and booked at Marin County Jail,” San Rafael police wrote on the agency’s Facebook page.
