San Rafael Water Main Triggers Traffic Advisory (Update)

Extensive delays are expected, San Rafael police said.

Updated at 6:07 p.m.: The intersection of North San Pedro and Merrydale roads due to a water main break may reopen at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, police said. Water will be shut off to customers in the area, according to police. Police are referring questions to the Water District, which can be reached at (415) 945-1500.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A water main break has triggered a road closure and snarled traffic just ahead of the evening commute, San Rafael police said Marin Water said jointly in an advisory at around 3:45 p.m.

The water main break at North San Pedro and Merrydale roads is expected cause extensive delays, the advisory said.
