Second Victim Identified From San Rafael Apartment Fire: Police
Police found two bodies after a deadly fire destroyed an apartment building.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — The second body found after a devastating apartment building fire has been identified Thursday, according to the coroner's office.
The Marin County Sheriff’s Office Coroner Division announced the identity was a 68-year-old woman named Pamela Lynn Scoggins.
At around 5:30 a.m. on Aug. 21, the San Rafael Fire Department responded to a significant fire at an apartment complex located at 516 Canal St. Officials have stated that the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

On Monday, the coroner's office released the identity of the other body found in the wreckage.
No one else has been reported to be unaccounted for related to this fire.

"The cause and manner of death will be pending the conclusion of the investigation being completed by the San Rafael Police and San Rafael Fire Departments and the Marin County Sheriff’s Office - Coroner Division," said Roger Fielding, the Chief Deputy Coroner.
