Police are searching for two women that investigators believe stole a therapy dog in San Rafael last week.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — The San Rafael Police Department has released three surveillance photos of two women that officers believe stole "Buddy," a therapy dog in training, from a downtown street on Friday. Police are hoping someone will recognize the women and help investigators bring Buddy home.
The Cavalier poodle mix weighs 12 pounds and has short, white, curly hair with brown spots. Buddy was taken from 1000 Fourth Street and was last seen wearing a green collar.
Police ask that anyone with information that could help reunite Buddy with a local non-profit call them at 415-485-3000, or send over a tip online.
