SAN RAFAEL, CA — A driver who showed signs of impairment got their SUV stuck on the railroad tracks early Saturday in San Rafael, according to police.

An officer saw the vehicle traveling down Fourth Street before making an abrupt turn onto the SMART railroad tracks just before 5 a.m. Police said the driver continued to accelerate until they became stuck.

After making contact with the driver and conducting a series of field sobriety tests, officers determined the driver was too intoxicated to be driving a vehicle. The person was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of DUI.
