Teen Carrying Loaded Gun Detained In Southern Marin: Police
Deputies recovered a loaded "ghost gun" over the weekend while detaining two young shoplifting suspects, officials said Monday.

MARIN COUNTY, CA — Deputies responding to a shoplifting call over the weekend in Southern Marin found a loaded, unregistered handgun on a juvenile suspect, the sheriff's office said Monday.
According to officials, deputies found two boys who matched the description of shoplifting suspects in the area, and one attempted to retrieve something from inside a satchel while he was being detained.
Once the boy was handcuffed, deputies learned the item in the satchel was a loaded "ghost gun." Deputies also found several 9mm rounds and a black ski mask. Deputies said the boy with the handgun was booked into juvenile hall, and the second suspect was given a citation and directed to meet a school resource officer for a diversion program.
