Video: DUI Driver Almost Himself Runs Over In Marin County: Police
The driver was ejected from the car after forgetting to place it in park, police said.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — A 34-year-old man nearly ran himself over Monday while attempting to park his car in San Rafael under the influence of alcohol, police said.
A video posted by the San Rafael Police Department shows Kevin Eric Allen, 34, of San Rafael getting thrown from the driver-side door of his car as he attempted to park the car on the street but did not place the car in park, police said.
The car then rolls backwards down the hill, ejecting Allen from the car, before it came to rest in a neighbor's yard.

Police said they arrested Allen and booked him into the Marin County Jail for a DUI.
