Violent CA Squirrel Sends 2 To The ER Amid Series Of Attacks: 'I Was Full Of Blood'

SAN RAFAEL, CA — At least two people have gone to a hospital in the Bay Area in recent days after being attacked by a vicious squirrel, ABC7 reported.

Joan Heblack told the station that she was on her morning walk through Lucas Valley in San Rafael when the violent squirrel accosted her.

"It clamped onto my leg," Heblack said. "I was like 'Get it off me, get off me!' I didn't want to touch it."

The squirrel reportedly bit and clawed her legs, resulting in a trip to the emergency room.

"It came out of nowhere. I didn't see him running up to me at all," Heblack said.

Meanwhile, Isabel Campoy and her neice say they were walking along the same area when they were attacked.

"Squirrel went from the floor tried to jump up to my face, I tried to protect my face, my arm was completely overcome by squirrel," Campoy told ABC7. "Finally it jumped off, by then I was full of blood, I run to the emergency room."

Now, flyers are posted around the area, warning residents of the aggressive squirrel. Neighbors say at least five people have been attacked.
