Annual Holi Festival Coming to Bishop Ranch April 5
Holi, an ancient festival from India that celebrates the beginning of spring, will be celebrated in San Ramon this Friday from 5-8 pm.

SAN RAMON, CA -- Holi, an ancient Hindu festival from India that celebrates the beginning of spring, will be celebrated during a free festival planned for 5 pm to 8 pm April 5 at Bishop Ranch.
During Holi, which is known as the "Festival of Spring" and "Festival of Colors," participants throw brightly colored powdered pigments on each other as a way to commemorate the vibrant, abundant colors of springtime and to say farewell to the long winter.
Along with the traditional tossing of colors, there will be plenty of free activities for the family: face painting, henna tattoo artists, Bollywood dance performers, and live music – all to be enjoyed while you grab dinner at one of the mobile gourmet food trucks.
