SAN RAMON, CA — Bollinger Canyon has been dominating baseball this summer. The Bollinger Canyon Little League Intermediate 13U team represented District 57 in the 50/70 World Series in Livermore. Now, the Bollinger Canyon 12U team could qualify for the Little League World Series.

The team, which has already won Northern California state titles for the past three consecutive years, could likely compete in the World Series the first year they are eligible to do so. After winning the Northern Californ State Title, the team is advancing to the West Region Tournament in San Bernardino.

This weekend, they will play El Segundo, the Southern California Title holders, and depending on the outcome, either the title holders from Arizona or Hawaii. If they win this weekend, they will advance to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

“We’re a big family - we’ve known each other for so long,” she said. “Everyone takes care of each other, we take care of each other’s siblings, not just on the field.”

Crawford said the boys are excited to have made it this far. “They’re very excited. I know they’re very positive. I think the competition’s going to be pretty heavy - Southern California has a great team, Hawaii’s historically had a top-notch team, so we know that the competition is pretty good, so the boys are just going to play their best. That’s all they’ve ever done, that’s all they’re going to do.”

Games can be viewed on ESPN+ during the weekend, and ESPN during the week.
