Coroner IDs San Ramon Teen Killed In East Bay Crash
BREAKING: There were no witnesses to the crash and investigators do not yet know why the vehicle left the roadway, according to CHP.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — An 18-year-old San Ramon man died when his vehicle went off of northbound Interstate Highway 880 and crashed into a tree in San Leandro early this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol and Alameda County coroner's bureau. Noah Esparza died in the crash reported at about 1:10 a.m. on northbound Highway 880 south of the Aladdin Avenue overpass, CHP Officer Joseph Fowler said.
Officers arrived at the scene and found that a 2000 Honda had gone off the roadway and hit a tree near the right-hand shoulder, Fowler said.Esparza, the driver and lone occupant of the Honda, was pronounced
dead.
There were no witnesses to the crash and investigators do not yet know why the vehicle left the roadway, according to Fowler.
