Diwali Festivities To Return To City Center Bishop Ranch In San Ramon
Mark your calendars to celebrate the Festival of Lights!
SAN RAMON, CA — A celebration to mark Diwali —the Hindu "Festival of Lights" — is planned Sunday, Nov. 5 at the City Center Bishop Ranch in San Ramon.
An autumn tradition in India and throughout South Asian countries, the Diwali holiday celebrates the end of fall harvest, light over dark and good over evil. It typically spans five days, running Nov. 10-15 in 2023.
City Center's cultural event will run ahead of the official dates — falling on Nov. 5 — with free festivities, including Indian music, dancing and a Rangoli (Indian folk art) artist, plus henna tattoos and a selfie station.
