Doctors Celebrated In San Ramon
San Ramon Regional Medical Center honored its physicians on National Doctor's Day Wednesday.

SAN RAMON, CA — Physicians within the San Ramon Regional Medical Center were recognized for their care and compassion Wednesday on National Doctor's Day.
The hospital portrayed its sentiment under the theme of ‘Thank You for Always Being There' by getting together to personally recognize and thank the physicians.
National Doctor Day started in 1933 and is commonly celebrated in healthcare organizations.

"The idea of setting aside a day to honor physicians was conceived by Eudora Brown Almond, wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond, and the recognition occurred on the anniversary of the first administration of anesthesia by Dr. Crawford W. Long in Jefferson, Georgia, in 1842," the United States Census Bureau reported.
