Henry Perezalonso Appointed New Director Of Parks & Community Services
Perezalonso is a San Ramon resident who spent the past 13 years as Danville's recreation, arts and community services director.

SAN RAMON, CA — Henry Perezalonso will take over as the next San Ramon director of parks and community services, the city announced. Perezalonso is a certified Park and Recreation Executive who brings more than 30 years of experience in park and recreation services, and served most recently as the recreation, arts, and community services director for the town of Danville. He will begin his new position July 14.
Perezalonso spent 13 years in Danville, where managed a number of different operations, including personnel, marketing, and community relations for programs in cultural arts, youth and senior services, sports and fitness, and facility management. He helped develop and implement the town's Parks, Recreation, and Arts Strategic Plan, its Age-Friendly Roadmap, and the creation of a formal arts district.
Before joining the town of Danville, Perezalonso spent 12 years as recreation coordinator, then senior recreation coordinator, then recreation supervisor for the city of Mountain View.

He is a Marine Corps veteran who holds a Master of Science in hospitality, recreation and tourism from California State University, East Bay. He currently holds positions on a number of local boards and committees, including Leadership San Ramon Valley Board, San Ramon’s Open Space Committee, the San Ramon Futbol Club Board, the California Foundation for Parks & Recreation, and the California Park and Recreation Society (CPRS) Maintenance Management School. In 2018-19, he served as the president of the CPRS Board.
