More Rain To Hit San Ramon: What To Know

With more rain on the way, here's how to stay safe and dry in San Ramon.

SAN RAMON, CA — After a brief respite Wednesday, the rain is coming back Thursday, and it's making up for lost time. After a total of 17.5 inches fell across the Bay Area Tuesday, the region is expected to see about 0.25 to 1.25 inches more Thursday. After that, temperatures are expected to plummet to lows in the 30s, likely leading to widespread ice.

"By Thursday morning another plume of moisture will reach the coast as a surface low-pressure system develops offshore," the National Weather Service said. "Compared to the atmospheric river on Tuesday, this system will be much weaker in terms of both wind and rain. Rainfall amounts are generally expected to be 0.25 - 1.25 [inches]."
