Replastering Begins at San Ramon Aquatic Center's Children’s Pool

Replastering work on the Children's Play Pool at the Dougherty Valley Aquatic Center began on Monday and is expected to take about 5 weeks.

SAN RAMON, CA -- The replastering of the Children’s Play Pool at the Dougherty Valley Aquatic Center began on Monday, April 1 and is expected to take about five weeks.

According to San Ramon's public works department, the project includes repair of the concrete flatwork surrounding the pool, new tile, LED lighting upgrades, repainting of the play structures, new “no running” and “no diving” mosaics in the tile work behind the gutter and plaster.

Public works said said they anticipate that the project will be completed by the week of May 6, barring extensive rain delays.

"Public Works and Parks and Community Services staff will continue to work together to minimize any impacts to the aquatic center’s participants and programs," the department said in a statement.
