San Ramon Gets Its First Taste Of A New Mexican All-Night Comfort Food Diner
A 24/7 Mexican diner opened in the Tri-Valley filling the location occupied for a decade by a Wendy's drive-through.
SAN RAMON, CA — The Tri-Valley is now home to a new restaurant chain that serves Mexican dishes 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Northern California and Nevada chain El Forastero opened Dec. 15, taking over the former Wendy’s drive-thru spot at at 2222 San Ramon Valley Blvd., in San Ramon.
"We are now open," management said in a Facebook post. "Get ready for tacos, burritos, loaded fries and all the Mexican favorites you crave, served 24/7 the El Forastero way."

They promised to be San Ramon's "new go-to spot for bold flavors, late night cravings, and real Mexican comfort food."
El Forastero's niche is quick eat items like tacos, burritos, and loaded fries served around the clock with dine-in, takeout, drive-thru, delivery, and catering options.

This is the chain's first San Ramon location. The other, nearly 20 locations are mostly in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valley.
