Golden State Grizzlies Cricket Team Becomes San Ramon Grizzlies

The Golden State Grizzlies Minor League Cricket Team recently announced a new partnership with the City of San Ramon and the San Ramon Cricket Association (SRCA).

As part of this collaboration, the franchise will now compete under the name San Ramon Grizzlies, and the City of San Ramon will host two official Grizzlies home games during the upcoming Minor League Cricket (MiLC) season.

Sign Up Today! San Ramon Summer Camps Begin Monday, June 9

San Ramon Summer Camps start next week and run June 9 – August 8. There is still time to sign up for a wide variety of programs for preschool through high school aged children.

Register online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at sanramonrecguide.com

Register in person at the following locations:

  • San Ramon Community Center (12501 Alcosta Blvd)
    Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5 p.m. (closed for lunch from 1–2 p.m., closed at 3:30 p.m. on the 3rd Thursday and last Wednesday of the month)
  • Alcosta Senior & Community Center (9300 Alcosta Blvd)
    Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–3 p.m. (closed for lunch from 1–2 p.m.)

Summer Recreation Swim: Afternoon & Evening Hours Open June 9
San Ramon Olympic Pool & Dougherty Valley Aquatic Center
$8 entry per person; All Ages

Afternoon and evening Summer Recreation Swim runs June 9–August 10 at the San Ramon Olympic Pool and Dougherty Valley Aquatic Center!

Drop-in participation is available during current recreation swim hours. Participants will pay at the front desk by swim pass, credit card, or cash. Swim passes are available for purchase online at www.sanramonrecguide.com.

Applications are open for the San Ramon Police Department’s summer Youth Academy! The program is free and open to students in grades 8–12 who live in San Ramon.

SRPD’s Youth Academy takes place daily for two weeks (June 16–26, Mon–Thu from 9 a.m. to noon) at the San Ramon Police Department (2401 Crow Canyon Road, San Ramon, CA 94583). The program is designed to give an inside look at local law enforcement, while inspiring good citizenship.

Construction Update: Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing

Work continues on the Iron Horse Trail Overcrossing at Bollinger Canyon Road. Please see below for anticipated upcoming work and impacts to traffic flow.

Work Recently Completed Through 6/5/25:

  • Handrail / mesh installation
  • Benches
  • Decomposed granite installation

Work Anticipated Through 6/11/25:

  • Continue irrigation, planting and mulch
  • Continue electrical work for lighting -watch for lane closures
  • Punch list items

The Overcrossing will open in Summer 2025.
