San Ramon Teens Invited To Participate In Youth Academy This Summer

The two-week academy offers students an inside look at a career in law enforcement.

SAN RAMON, CA — Teenagers in San Ramon have the opportunity to join a free summer youth academy led by the city's police department.

San Ramon Police Department's Youth Academy offers students in 8th through 12th grades an opportunity to get an inside look at a career in law enforcement. Students must live in San Ramon and cannot have any felony or misdemeanor convictions within the last two years. Students must not have previously attended the academy.

The academy meets daily for two weeks and aims to "inspire good citizenship through criminal justice education," the San Ramon Police Department said.

The Youth Academy is two consecutive weeks from Monday to Thursday: June 16-19 and June 23-26. Classes are held from 9 a.m. to noon at the police department.
