The fire protection district captured a picture-perfect reunion between Ames and the Herendeen family. She met Cruz for the first time at the fire station and posed for photos in front of a cherry red fire truck.

Ames and Cruz were matching in their navy blue San Ramon Valley Fire Protection District gear. Ames wore her work polo, while Cruz was decked out in a fire protection district onesie.
