Spirit Store Theft Suspects Busted With Gun, Ammo & Stolen Merch

Shortly after theft call was logged from the Halloween shop, San Ramon police spotted a vehicle matching getaway-car description, cops said.

SAN RAMON, CA — A gun, ammunition and stolen merchandise were recovered after two individuals were stopped and arrested moments after a recent theft was logged from the Spirit Halloween store in San Ramon, according to authorities.

As swing-shift officers were responding to the theft call, they spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspects' getaway car, the San Ramon Police Department said Tuesday.

The vehicle was stopped and searched, yielding stolen items from the store on Market Place, along with an unserialized pistol and ammunition, officials said.

The two adults, who were not identified by police, were arrested and booked into the Contra Costa County Jail, the agency said.
