The $11,250 down payment to Pyro Spectaculars was raised through donations, and a . The amount is half of what is needed to pay off the total fireworks bill — which the committee expects to clear after the July 4 celebration.

Pyro Spectaculars has been involved in Livermore's Fourth of July celebration for nearly 30 years, officials said.

Organizers are likely to move the celebration to after recent changes to , the previous location of the event, have significantly reduced parking space.

In San Ramon, the City Council  in February, citing safety concerns with increased traffic at the event being the main reason.
