VENTURA, CA — A collared mountain lion was fatally struck by a vehicle on a Southern California highway, officials said. A month earlier, his older brother died the same way. The 1-year-old lion, tagged P-90, was killed on Highway 33, just south of Ojai in Ventura County on Friday morning, officials with the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. P-90 was first captured in July of 2020. His 2-year-old brother, P-89, was killed on the 101 Freeway in Woodland Hills last month.
