Santa Monica, CA—The City of Santa Monica has launched a mobile-friendly version of its website designed for users on-the-go. Smartphones and other mobile devices can access the website through the same URL as the city homepage at smgov.net. Mobile users will automatically be routed to the mobile site at m.smgov.net.
The new mobile site makes the city’s online services more accessible to a growing percentage of users that surf the Internet on mobile devices. Real-time parking and beach maps and Big Blue Bus route information are designed to help users get around town. Users will also find the latest city news and events, a directory of city services and facilities, and links to the city’s many social media channels.
A section devoted to the City Council (located under “City Hall”) has the latest meeting agendas and wrap-ups, and access to an archive of meeting videos which can be streamed on most smartphones. Users can also pay utility bills and parking citations through the site.
