Rain Delays Buy Local Expo

Due to the strong chance of rain on Saturday, the Chamber of Commerce's Buy Local Expo has been postponed until March 31. 

More than 80 vendors were signed up to promote their businesses Saturday on the Third Street Promenade in an event that drew thousands last year. Expo organizers are now crossing their fingers that March 31 will be dry for the vendors, entertainers and interactive activities.

Chamber officials said they still encourage residents to "shop local" this weekend, as discounts and specials will still be available at participating businesses seeking to sell to the 50,000 visitors in town for the .

Additionally, the citywide Buy Local Scavenger Hunt will still be launched on Saturday, and the Airport Art Walk at Santa Monica Airport from noon-5 p.m has not been postponed.
