Angel's Piano Bar to Close
The retro supper club at 2460 Wilshire Blvd. in Santa Monica will shutter at the end of the month.
Angel's Piano Bar and Supper Club on Wilshire Boulevard and 25th Street will close Feb. 1.
With an intimate atmosphere and studded, white leather booths and bar, it opened in 2009, hosting groovy, local bands; jazz musicians; R&B artists and soulful crooners. Manhattans, the Singapore Sling, Sidecar, Rusty Nail, Sazerac and Planters Punch were featured on the cocktail menu.
An announcement was posted on the bar’s website earlier this week alerting customers of the imminent closure. Phone calls inquiring about the shuttering were not immediately returned.

"It has been grand but the time has come to say farewell," the announcement reads. "We want to take a moment to say thank you for your support and to invite you to come by for some final cocktails, snacks, live music and vintage debuachery with us."
In a town full of hip and trendy bars, Angel's, a throwback to the 1930s and 40s, was beloved by bargoers seeking a different vibe.
