Armed Robber Hits SMC Bookstand
The man was reportedly carrying a gun in his backpack when he robbed the textbook stand of money at about 1 p.m. Thursday.

A man armed with a gun robbed a textbook buyback company of cash Thursday at, City News Service reported.
The man reportedly showed workers a gun, asked for money, then took off.
It happened at about 1 p.m. The man was described as in his late 20s or early 30s.

"The suspect went to the buyback area, where we have a company on campus doing the textbook buyback," campus police Sgt. Ray Bottenfield told City News Service. "He showed the people doing the buyback a gun in a backpack and asked for the money. He took the money and left campus."
Bottenfield told City News Service that the suspect was wearing jeans, a hooded sweatshirt and aviator sunglasses.
