Assemblyman Richard Bloom, D-Santa Monica, Wednesday announced a bid to succeed Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl.

SANTA MONICA, CA — Assemblyman Richard Bloom, D-Santa Monica, Wednesday announced a bid to succeed Los Angeles County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl, who is not running for a third term in 2022.
"I am running for L.A. County supervisor because I want to build on Supervisor Kuehl's progressive legacy and tackle the many critical issues that we face," Bloom said in a statement. "I will fight for humane solutions to our housing and homelessness crisis. Bloom also said he would focus on creating equitable economic recovery, fighting the climate crisis, holding polluters accountable and preserving natural spaces.
