The 21st annual festival is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m Saturday. A sidewalk sale on Montana Avenue and the Santa Monica Classic will also take place this weekend.

The 21st annual Santa Monica Festival on Saturday will honor the cultures that have shaped the city's history and promote ways to live greener and healthier lives. The will feature musical performances, an "eco" marketplace, more than 15 food trucks and environmental demonstrations from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Clover Park, 2600 Ocean Park Blvd.

Boutiques from 6th to 17th streets will offer sales from 10-90 percent off at the annual from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

More than 4,000 runners are expected Sunday at the seventh annual Santa Monica Classic, 5K and 10K races that benefit Heal the Bay. The race starts where Ocean Avenue turns into Bernard Way, with 10K runners turning around at 11th Street and San Vicente Boulevard.
