Countywide Chase Ends After Driver Tries To Hide In Santa Monica Bushes: Reports
After traveling on the 10 Freeway at over 100 mph, the driver was caught on live TV trying to hide in some bushes, according to reports.
SANTA MONICA, CA — Two people were arrested in Santa Monica Wednesday after leading police on a chase that began with an incident of reckless driving in the San Gabriel Valley, according to reports.
The chase began sometime around 9:30 p.m. when officers spotted a white SUV driving dangerous on the 10 Freeway.
The driver headed west on the 10 — traveling up to 10 mph — before exiting the freeway in Santa Monica. There, the driver traveled at around 50 mph and ran through red lights, NBC 4 reported.

The motorist drove in circles between Pacific Palisades, West Los Angeles and Santa Monica, Fox 11 reported.
Shortly after 10 p.m., the car stopped near the 20th Street off-ramp of the 10 Freeway and three people exited the vehicle.

Live on TV news helicopters' cameras, one of the people was spotted trying to hide in bushes. He decided against it, and instead started casually walking around Santa Monica before Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department found him and arrested him.
The second suspect was arrested seconds after the first suspect got detained, Fox 11 reported.
