Goose Island's Rare Stout Lands in Santa Monica
Two downtown bars tap the Chicago brewery's elusive stout.

Small pours of Bourbon County, a seldom tapped chocolate-y imperial stout from Goose Island brewery, are available at The Commons Ale House and West 4th and Jane in downtown Santa Monica.
Grab it while it is still available and while the weather is still chilly and foggy. The rich, smokey and sweet brew is tough to find even in Chicago, where Goose Island is based.
Jane's brownie a la mode would be the perfect pairing, but it is aged in oak Bourbon barrels, so don't be surprised if it makes you want to smoke a cigar.
