Hello From Santa Monica Patch's New Editor

Honest, civil discourse can cause positive change in a community. It is my hope that Santa Monica Patch serves that purpose.

For those of you who haven't had the chance to meet me, my name is Jessica Davis and I will be serving the community in Santa Monica as the new Patch editor.

I'm coming from Malibu, where I have served as the Patch editor for the past year. In Malibu, I covered the Malibu Lagoon Project, the controversy surrounding the installation of Malibu High School's 70-foot athletic lights, the Preserve Malibu movement and every single Malibu City Council meeting.

I will bring my love of local politics to Santa Monica. I am honored to take the place of Editor Jenna Chandler. Jenna and I have worked together over the past year covering the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District. We've worked together over the past few weeks to make this transition as easy as possible.
