High Surf, Fog, Gusty Winds This Weekend
After several days of unseasonably warm weather, patchy fog, high winds and surf and low humidity make their way into Santa Monica over the weekend.

Turbulent weather is making its way into Santa Monica, with weather forecasters warning of very low humidity, gusty winds, continued strong surf and patchy fog.
Areas of low clouds and fog were forecast to develop Friday night along the coast. Saturday will be much cooler than Friday with a high of 63 degrees in Santa Monica after record-setting highs in Los Angeles on Thursday.
Forecasts of northeast winds blowing up 25 mph and humidity as low as 10 percent has prompted the National Weather Service to issue a fire watch. The strong Santa Ana winds should arrive Saturday night.

A wind advisory will be in effect from midnight Saturday through most of Sunday. The strongest winds will blow below passes and canyons from Malibu to the Hollywood hills.
Additionally, a large west to northwest swell will continue to bring big surf to the Southern California coast through Saturday afternoon. Sets of 10 to 12 feet Friday afternoon were expected to subside a bit to near or below 10 feet Saturday morning, according to the Weather Service.

A high risk of danger rip currents, however, will persist, meteorologists said.
