Man Accused Of Setting Abandoned Dishwasher On Fire: Police
A 24-year-old man is suspected of arson this week in Santa Monica, authorities said.
SANTA MONICA, CA — A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson this week in Santa Monica, authorities said.
Officers responded to an abandoned dishwater fire near the alley side of a building in the 400 block of California Avenue about 9:21 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Santa Monica Police Department.
A witness identified the arson suspect, who was near the flames, police said.

The dishwasher had burned pieces of paper and other trash stuffed inside, police said.

Joseph Jordon Zarzycki, 24, was arrested on suspicion of arson. He was booked at the Santa Monica Jail and his bail was set at $50,000.
Zarzycki was later released with a citation, which is part of the Los Angeles County emergency bail modification initiative.
A court date has not yet been assigned, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department inmate locator.
